The Blood Sugar Test – A1C Diabetes

The Blood Sugar Test

Don’t sugar coat it.

There are two common blood sugar tests you are familiar with. There is the finger prick test which diabetes use to monitor their blood sugar. And there is the fasting blood sugar test which your doctor may have ordered. This test is usually done after a fast and requires a blood draw so your blood sample can be sent to a lab. This test measures glycosylated hemoglobin, also called hemoglobin A1C. This test reflects your blood sugar levels as a percent over the previous 90 days.
